JACK Hargreaves will make his first appearance on a bike since joining Birmingham at the Telford ice spectacular on February 24.
Hargreaves, 19, was confirmed as a new signing for the Perry Barr side just before the Christmas break and he is sure to attract plenty of backing from Brummies fans who will make the short trip to Shropshire.
Telford co-promoter Graham Drury, who has snapped up the youngster on a full transfer for his Birmingham side, said: "Jack sees this as an early chance to meet up with the Birmingham fans and he'll be looking to give a good display at Telford.
"It doesn't always go that the top stars in speedway are top stars on ice and Jack is well aware of that. He has a bright future within speedway and I feel confident his riding style will make him a success at Telford."
Meanwhile Drury and Telford colleague Ian Thomas are getting down to the business of the interval attractions which have become a major part of the experience.
From knife throwing to football penalties on ice, Telford has had the lot over the last 20-plus years - and the public are now invited to submit their own ideas!
"We'd love to hear from anyone who has unique ideas on the interval attraction," said Drury. "It all adds to the experience and we wecome the views of our fans."
Hargreaves joins Wolverhampton's David Howe in the England select side for the afternoon international challenge (3pm) with te British Open individual taking place at 7.30pm.
